Are You Sporty or Intelligent?
We’ve noticed that our sportier students pass faster while the more intelligent, academic ones have more trouble.
One student, Kristina, was more of an academic type. Although her English wasn't perfect, as it was a second language, she was smart and dedicated to succeeding.
It must have been hard for her to learn this new skill, on the wrong side of the road, while trying to understand everything the instructor was saying.
The rewards, however, more than made up for the stress of learning.
We see this with our female students a lot more than the guys. They are meticulous, careful but with high anxiety around learning to drive. When they finally pass, tears of joy and hugs all around make all the hard work worth it.
Kristina had come from another driving school where the instructor wasn’t that great. He taught her bad habits and we had to help correct those mistakes.
A student is only as bad as their instructor. Many instructors in other schools are unqualified or bad communicators. They often teach in a backwards way, instilling bad behaviours in their students. The lucky ones may scrape a pass, but many look elsewhere for lessons.
She needed to pass her test and get it over with. She is based in the city where it’s almost impossible to get around on public transport as it’s always busy, dirty and slow.
It’s also hard to learn to drive in the busy city, with impatient drivers honking at you, and nothing but narrow roads to navigate.
When Kristina came to us, she already had this negative experience. We had to do everything we could to make this a fun adventure for her.
If you’re below 35, or even better, you’re just coming out of high school or your gap year, it’s the perfect time to learn. The younger the better, however you can learn at any age.
When you can drive, you have the freedom to get around your city, and better yet, get out of it. You don’t have to use public transport routes for 2 hour journeys when you could drive it in 30 minutes.
You can go anywhere, any time. This is total freedom.
When you have the freedom of knowing how to drive, the world is your little shellfish. You have the freedom to drive anywhere in your country and in any other country too.
Most of the UK has been undiscovered by its inhabitants because us brits prefer to fly to the beaches of Portugal or take a weekend off in Malta. When you can drive however, Great Britain is a great island to discover.
We have some of the best beaches, iconic mountains, and gorgeous country side villages to discover. From the white cliffs of Dover, sandy beaches with castles overlooking the sea, and the great highlands of Scotland.
With a car, you have the freedom to explore theses places with your friends and family, or take a trip down windy mountain roads or seaside towns whenever you want.
You have the freedom to rent a car in any other country so you can land anywhere, and go anywhere, whenever you want.
You may have friends in far places, and hard to reach family family somewhere. Perhaps you want to explore a part of the world that’s impossible to get to without a car, and until now, that’s not been an option.
By learning to drive like Kristina has, you are earning your freedom.
There’s another huge benefit that Kristina now has since she passed with us. The job possibilities are endless.
When you’ve passed, you have more career options because you can drive anywhere and work anywhere. Many jobs even have “driving” as a requirement for the job.
You won’t have to suffer public transport and you’ll be able to drive to work. Sometimes you’ll still need public transport, but at least you’ll have the option.
Kristina Finally passed.
On her third attempt, Kristina passed with just two minors. Her previous tests had three minors, but each had 1 major. The second major she got is the most common cause of failing. Missing an observation at a junction.
This is why learning the right habits and behaviours during your driving course is so important. The habits Kristina has built up from her past school had left her with less confidence and more confusion.
We had to teach her the right way to view the road, and ultimately she passed with us.
After tears were wiped, hugs were hugged, and smiles faded, reality sunk in. Kristina had passed.
She was now free. Free to drive anywhere. Free to travel, and free to work with more opportunity than before. She could take her friends wherever and go places she wanted with ease.
This is what we want for you.
At A-Class Driving school we don’t skip on the little details and give you any bad habits. We tell you the correct way to drive and fix any mistakes you’ve learned from previous schools.
Even if you’ve got the deck stacked against you like Kristina did. Even if English is your second language, or if you’ve failed before with a previous school. If you’ve come from bad lessons where you’ve learned everything wrong, it doesn’t matter when you join A-Class Driving.
If you want to become a qualified driver, then join Kristina and the hundreds of other successful students we’ve had, and take the fast road to freedom. Paragraph
